Deep Rest Restorative Yoga

Restorative Yoga

Restorative Yoga is a gentle form of yoga that helps restore balance to the whole person. Restorative postures are fully supported by props the hold the body physically and promote relaxation. Restorative focuses on opening, guided breathwork and meditation to calm the nervous system and mind.  With practice Restorative Yoga can change habitual mind and body patterns, facilitate emotional healing and increase self-awareness and mindfulness. These classes are $30 for studio students and $15 for Zoom students. Studio pass holders can use two class passes for these classes. The monthly Deep Rest Restorative Classes are currently included in the Monthly Unlimited Passes.

“Jessie’s restorative yoga is the yoga class you never knew you needed. You reach a meditative state that completely allows your body and mind to shift to a place of peace and presence. It provides time to shut out the outside world, honor yourself and connect with your spirituality. You leave feeling as if the universe is on your side and in a state of calm and positivity.” – NN

Restorative Yoga with Reiki Energy Work

Restorative Yoga with Reiki

We are excited to announce that our 90 minute Restorative Yoga with Reiki classes with Reiki Master Pam Caron are back. Reiki is a technique for stress reduction and relaxation that also promotes healing. In this practice the Reiki Master moves unseen “life force” or “universal” energy through the palms of their hands to the client in order to encourage emotional or physical healing. If one’s “life force energy” is low, then they are more likely to get sick or feel stress, and if it is high, they are more attended to health and happiness. These Restorative classes will be offered the first Tuesday of the month.

Since then I have added a second WordPress site to house the Class Library. This interview also captures the story of how Yoga Next Door came to be.

BLOG & INTERVIEW: At the end of September 2020 Jessica was interviewed by Soutiens about how working, home-schooling parents can find time to fit yoga and self care into their routines. They also discussed the benefits of yoga for parents and in the workplace.
